PHOTO OF THE DAY: Another personal project designed to capture and post one photo a day for the next 365 days. The photo may be the most ordinary to the most sublime. Whatever it might be, it is sure to be a slice of my day viewed by my eyes as worthy of capturing for posterity.
More of the same from yesterday, only these are somewhat deeper in hue.
The most delicate pale purplish flowers I found outside the library.
Gorgeous rhododendron from my neighbor's front yard (I'm only taking pictures, not plucking them!)
An impossibly fragrant pink peony from my neighbor's front yard.
I'm not sure what flowering bush this is, but the little white flowers make for a lovely contrast to the deep greens and the pretty fence that it sits against.
A pale yellow rose that has every hue of the sun within it!
The pink rose vine from which yesterday's lovely specimen came forth!
A lovely pink rose-- also from a climbing bush.
Beautiful red rose from a climbing rose vine bush. In honor of Father's Day today for my loving Dad and my loving husband-- both, wonderful fathers.
A climbing red rose bush with a burst of blooms, no two alike. In honor of my loving aunt, Sheela Datta's birthday today.
I hear this fern is called Goat's Beard! An arrangement at a public function the other day.
My birthday crocus blooming in profusion (this picture was taken on June 3, 2011), and offered here in celebration of my secondborn's birthday today.
One solitary yellow-and-brown iris-- from the big patch yesterday. BTW, 65 down, 300 more to go!
Gorgeous yellow-and-brown irises.
