PHOTO OF THE DAY: Another personal project designed to capture and post one photo a day for the next 365 days. The photo may be the most ordinary to the most sublime. Whatever it might be, it is sure to be a slice of my day viewed by my eyes as worthy of capturing for posterity.
The most gorgeous sunflowers lining up the front of Joe's garden. Makes a lovely foreground to the shed in the back.
A cucumber intentionally left to go to seed-- from Joe's garden. BTW, 150/365 ain't too shabby, don't you think?!
Blue skies with both white and gray clouds. View from a rooftop parking lot of a part of my fair city. So long as you can see more blue than gray, you've got it good! Words of wisdom from yours truly...
The most gorgeous grass flower, aka, a weed! Rivals a snowflake, don't you think? I dedicate this to myself for my birthday coming up tomorrow. Like this flower, it will soon be here and gone tomorrow...
A field of grass flowers, aka, weeds!
The tall grass bush that puts forth the most amazing white blooms. See yesterday's photo for a close-up of the one on the far right.
A grass flower. From a tall decorative grass bush. Look for the picture of the grass bush tomorrow!
Time to start a new school year-- and what better place than a school that enjoys a ranking like this? Sophomores and seniors, here we come!
Such a happy tree, don't you think? May we continue to bloom like these flowers even as we usher in the new month of September!
A peachy gladiolus-- what a great shot to end the month of August!
Big, bright, and white gladiolus.
A pretty lavender bush that's anchoring the landscaping in a median. Near our local library, btw.
More of those sublime pale pink hibiscus. Breakthtaking, they are! And these were also found in our local Arboretum.
This is what those "mini sunflowers" from yesterday's tall plants look like.
Gorgeous tall hedges with mini-sunflower like flowers. Lots of bees around these too! Same place, btw, i.e., at the local arboretum.
Is that pretty, or is that pretty? I wish I knew the proper name, but whatever they might be called, there were so many bees buzzing around, I had to be careful not to get into their way even as I...
The most sublime pink hibiscus. Yet, only fleeting in its glory...
From yesterday's field of flowers-- a close up. Someone please tell me what these majestically tall flowers are called!
